Pam Brewer – Director

“Innovation is the lifeblood of our business. We are constantly adopting new materials, more efficient technologies and smarter processes so that we can cost-effectively create better garments.”

Pam loves the creative side of Global Safewear’s business. Interaction with customers helps her to understand industry needs and discover new solutions, so that our garments stay one step ahead of competitor products. She also focuses on sourcing fabrics, trims and closures that will give Global Safewear an edge in the market. Pam divides her time between New Zealand and Vietnam. Beyond work she enjoys exploring New Zealand’s amazing outdoor environments with her family.

Andrea Young – Director

“I really enjoy the personal connection I have with our suppliers and clients. And having trained in design, I still get a lot of satisfaction out of seeing a well-designed and made garment.”

Drawing on more than 20 years’ experience in apparel design, production and management, Andrea has responsibility for the finance, systems, logistics and administration that keeps Global Safewear ticking. She works closely with Global Safewear’s teams in New Zealand and Vietnam and really enjoys building strong connections with clients and suppliers. Her free time is spent with her family, with a little running and yoga on the side.

Simon Yulius – Operations Manager

“I keep my finger on the pulse of the business – every part of it. This allows me to see opportunities for improvement, so that we’re continually advancing our design, sourcing, production and logistics.”

Simon works closely with the company directors – Pam and Andrea – to make sure the teams in New Zealand and Vietnam are fully-enabled for excellence. As operations manager, Simon is actively involved with, sourcing and purchasing, production planning, inventory management. When he’s not working, he likes to travel and read.

Truong Tai Hung – General Manager, Vietnam

“I’ve learned my job from the ground up, so I know what it takes to get the job done perfectly. There’s nothing I like more than introducing clients to the beauty and diversity of Vietnam, whenever I get the chance.”

Hung joined Global Safewear fresh from the University of Business Management in Ho Chi Minh City. Today he is general manager of the company’s manufacturing operations in Vietnam, working closely with the import/export, inventory and production staff. Hung is also in daily contact with the sales office in New Zealand, to ensure that orders are produced and delivered on time. Outside office hours, Hung loves computers – a passion that benefits his work life.
