Ethical global manufacturing
We see ourselves as a global company, hence the name. Our design heart is in New Zealand, our manufacturing capability is in Vietnam, our fabrics are sourced from Europe to Asia, thread comes from the best international companies, specialist trims are sourced worldwide and the technology we use is sourced from Germany and Japan. With every element of our operation, a strong code of ethics guides our decision making.

Our code of ethics:

Maintain high standards and fair practice in all business transactions.
Accord customers and suppliers of all cultural origins equal respect and consideration.
Price goods and services fairly and unambiguously.
Uphold and observe all standards and regulations relevant to each order.
Act in an environmentally-responsible way.
Establish and maintain procedures for the prompt handling of complaints, ensuring that all inquiries, refunds and returns of goods (where applicable) are dealt with properly and reasonably.

Ba Chieu Home
Global Safewear is a financial supporter of the Ba Chieu Home. The home was founded in 1996 by Celia Caughey, a former New Zealand Consul General, in response to the plight of the homeless street children in the Ba Chieu Market.

Labour relations award
In May 2011, Global Safewear received a labour relations award from the District labour department in Ho Chi Minh City. The award recognises our commitment to excellent working conditions, quality training and fair pay.
